This is our family photo page. In and around a swimming pool celebrating Christmas Day; New Years Eve and Melissa's 9th birthday. Juan Luis Guerra and 440. On a Trail Ride with many other people and in the Panaca animal husbandry park, where Melissa went on the Zipline for her 8th birthday. This is "La Cosa" (the thing) our puppy. Melissa and Lanny came home on Valentines Day and found her with this plastic food bowl she had destroyed, because she was teething and playing with it, around her mid section. Her mother, a Dalmatian, and her father, a black dog, live next door. 14 February 2010

Early one morning, we found this tiny bat, sleeping, suspended from a cable to a stereo speaker in our living room. We had never seen anything like this in our house before. It apparently came into our inner patio and stayed that night. 15 February 2010

Smoke trail after launch of Space Shuttle Atlantis, STS-101, on 19 May 2000

Smoke, after the launch of the Space Shuttle "Atlantis", STS-101, on 19 May 2000. We were on Kennedy Space Center, approximately 6 air miles from the launch pad. This photo was taken when the Space Shuttle was approximately 200 miles from Kennedy Space Center, over the Atlantic Ocean. The white dot to the right of the smoke is the Space Shuttle. Pilar was approximately 4 months pregnant with Melissa when we were in Florida and we saw this launch, very early in the morning, with our late friend, Richard, the day we returned to Colombia. Watching the launch was a spectacular experience we will never forget. We are leaving this picture here, as our memorial to those who died aboard STS-107, "Columbia", in 2003.
